It’s May Day! Jane speaks with Liz Ford, associate professor of law at Seattle University, who explains Seattle’s growing unionization efforts and where to get help with questions about fair pay. Then Jane is joined by contributor Marcus Harrison Green and producer Liam to break down Mayor Katie Wilson’s announcement of new investments in childcare, free school meals, healthcare for students, and post-graduation employment pathways. And finally, Marcus and Jane are joined by Jas Moultrie, development manager for the Langston Theater, which is hosting the 23rd annual Seattle Black Film Festival, to talk about festival highlights, must-see films, and workshops.
