Today on the podcast, Jane and contributor Marcus Harrison Green are joined by UW Center for Human Rights Director Angelina Godoy to discuss their recent report, which found at least 7 cases in which Washington license plate information was used to carry out immigration enforcement, leading to arrest or deportation in civil cases. Angelina explains how this violates state law and what she recommends our elected officials do about it. Then, Marcus and Jane speak with Seattle Times arts economy reporter Margo Vansynghel about a new proposal to give Seattle Center a glow-up, what it will cost residents, and why the center’s fate is somewhat in limbo. Finally, all three share some good news and recommendations for the weekend.
